Soundtrack rocked my world.

Any info on the artist? It made the movie if you ask me. I feel each scene was beautifully composed, but I would love to know more about the musical direction.

James Iha did the score for the movie. If you want to know more about it, read the following interviews:

If you don't know the musician James Iha at all, just take some time and listen to one of the best concerts I've ever attended in my life:

I also liked many of the songs and the whole atmosphere of the music! 

Watching the movie again, I assume most of the dramatic pieces without lyrics are actually composed by James Iha and not by other artists. These are mostly themes in the background, and they come back again later or in little variations. There's a very short video on vimeo in which you can watch him play the opening theme:

https://vimeo.com/167927120

So there might be a chance in the future that James Iha will publish more tracks online?

On another note - there are still two songs with lyrics that I can't find online at all:

1. Leah and Pearl sneaking out and taking pictures outside

"Call me blind, call me stupid, call me anything that you want,
But I feel like something good is gonna come.
When I'm high, when I'm loving, when I'm starting to sing this song,
Well, I feel that something good is gonna come.

Feel it flowing as it starts to take you over like the heat of the sun,
Yeah, I feel like something good is on the way,
And I know that someone somewhere feels the same way
Yeah, I feel like something good is on the way
And I know that someone somewhere feels the same."

2. Leah and Pearl making out

"Lie down, lie my truth in you,
And it's too late for me to turn,
Turn the tracks of these memories,
I've spent my whole life wishing it was you."

I could be wrong with some of the words (English is not my first language), which might be the reason I'm unable to find both of these songs as of now. 

I'll keep on looking in the future - maybe they'll appear some day ...

Best wishes,

janar

Could anybody list the songs and artists featured in the movie. All of the music added so much to the overall experience of the movie. Thanks in advance for your help.

As long as I understand, some (or many?) of the songs/pieces featured in the movie are new compositions by James Iha for this movie. As of now, I found 3 songs composed by him on soundcloud:

1. "Opening Theme":

https://soundcloud.com/jamesiha/1-opening-theme-mother-may-i-sleep-with-danger

2. "Leah And Pearl", featuring Claire Acey (scene at the end Pearl turning Leah into a vampire):

3. "The Photo Lab" (Mother sneaking into the photo lab)

Also, the last song in the movie is:

4. "Make It Bleed" by Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop (that looks like a company who makes music tracks for tv). You can find the song on itunes or amazon.

Edit

5. "Pretty Thing" by Dylan Dray & The Diamond Back (Leah and Pearl in the photo lab):

6. "Better With You" by of Verona (during the helloween party in the country club)

Sorry, I can't find the other songs right now. Maybe in a few days, when there's more info about the movie online?

Thank you for posting this. I was almost hypnotized by the soundtrack, but the movie was just okay. I wonder if there is a soundtrack album available with all of these tracks on it?

As of now, I can't find any information about an official soundtrack album. And if you ask me, there won't be an official release in the future, because the movie wasn't that big of a hit (700.000 viewers watched the premiere) and it wasn't screened in cinemas (only on cable tv).

They probably won't sell enough so they won't produce one - that's my guess. But who knows, maybe they'll put it online anyways because it's (mostly) done by James Iha? 
