Things I learned from Kahaani 2

Shall we? :)

1. You can actually make a very good first film and create next very bad film by selling on predecessor's name.

2. Arjun Rampal was married to Vidya Balan for 2 years and we don't even know why he left her.

3. Vidya murdered that woman and kidnapped her grand child, and her "loving" uncle came after 7-8 years to kidnap her back again!

I lost my faith on Oscars when

Sir Hans Zimmer lost for Interstellar...

Well yeah I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one either but your last two points are easily answered.

2. Arjun Rampal was married to Vidya Balan for 2 years and we don't even know why he left her.

This was because she was also sexually abused as a child, their marriage was never consummated. This irked Arjun a lot, because Vidya never shared her grief with her. She was too scared and emotionally scarred to do so. Hence, after a certain period of adjustment, Arjun just started ignoring her, which Vidya misinterpreted as hate. Listen to the dialogue where Vidya is having sexual intercourse with Amit, and she says I want Amit to love me , not hate me like Inder.

3. Vidya murdered that woman and kidnapped her grand child, and her "loving" uncle came after 7-8 years to kidnap her back again!

The uncle's main motivation to kill the girl AND Vidya was that one, they both denied him the "FUN" he was having with a child and second, they both were responsible for the murder of his mother. Despite of all his sins, the uncle still wanted revenge, as his mother was willingly letting him abuse a child. It was not just to KIDNAP her AGAIN.

It also took him time to do so as he had to cover up his mother's death to make it NOT look suspicious and lay the blame on Durga. And more importantly, Durga was charge with murder and KIDNAPPING, and most kidnappers want a ransom in return. The fact that Durga never called for a ransom was a lot puzzling for the Police, and they must have suspected, even for a brief moment, that maybe there is something else to this tale. The uncle had to take his steps cautiously, hence the time period.

But I agree this movie never reaches the mark set by it's predeccesor. And guess what, My name is also Inder Singh lol.

First I thought I would say a joke about Sodium and Hydrogen but NaH.
