The writing

The writing is very sloppy in places. I actually laughed out loud when the black cop near the end was explaining the history of the house, including the school principal who killed the two children, and he said that "someone finally noticed that the principal hadn't shown up for work for about two weeks..." LOL. Yeah. Right. That's plausible.
