If Black Mirror and Napoleon Dynamite had a baby...

...it would be Haters Back Off. Maybe throw in The Office into the mix too. While all these shows/movie are great on their own, mixed together in style as they are in Haters Back Off results in a bit of a weird finish that leaves you feeling kind of empty. It's an interesting attempt but in the end doesn't really work and doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. Napoleon Dynamite and The Office are clearly quirky and charming, Black Mirror is dark and eerie, but trying to be both charming and eerie at the same time makes for uncomfortable TV. Also, it was a bit of an odd decision to take a show based off of a goofy Youtube comedy and make it into something rather dark and depressing that tries to be deep.

Just my two cents :)

Except this garbage can't hold a candle to either Napoleon Dynamite or Black Mirror.

definitely see a lot of Napoleon Dynamite in this but not really Black Mirror, but Miranda and her uncle remind me of the main characters from Its always Sunny in Philadelphia

I agree about Napoleon Dynamite; however, I also thought it reminded me of that Kristin Wigg movie, Welcome To Me.

I was thinking is Napoleon Dynamite and Pushing Daisies had a baby it would be this. I've never seen Black Mirror. What's it like?

Do yourself a big favor and watch that series before you watch anything else. Dark and fantastic, like a 21st century twilight zone.
