If Deadpool went back in time and stopped Vanessa from being killed, then wouldn't that have negated the entire movie itself? He wouldn't joined the X-men and have been arrested for trying to stop Firefist, Cable would have shown up and killed Firefist at the Ice Box, X-Force would have never been formed....
Just saying.

I learned something a long time ago after jumping down a rabbit hole of reading for hours on end different time travel philosophies and paradoxes after a viewing of T2. My conclusion, just don't think about it. It will hurt your brain heh.
shareHe doesn't jump back and save Vanessa and then stay there, re-living the life he would have if she hadn't been killed first time around. He jumps back, saves her then jumps forward again, so when he gets to his current time, Vanessa has been alive the whole time but Deadpool has still done all we saw in the film, already.
