Only thing that bugged me

At the last part of the movie, not one of the staff member tried to help the headmaster or stop Firefist, yet they threw their lives against cable and deadpool. The kid definitely posed the greatest threat(hes burning down the place!) but get a free pass for some reason?what logic is that? They are prob gonna lose their jobs anyway for not helping the headmaster against Collins, and theres no way they could take on cable and deadpool with just some firearms. The only sane thing they could do really is just get the hell out of the way and run away.

Maybe some of the less intelligent(or brave) ones tried to fight but most of them should flee after seeing their colleagues been killed, its not worth losing your lives to save your job.

I though the fight against the shotgun wielding school staff was ridiculous . Especially them charging at Deadpool and Cable for a close quarter brawl.

It’s only logical that they would keep away from the furious kid considering he was blasting huge fireballs. What exactly could they have done to restrain or kill him anyway? Had Firefist spotted any of them trying something, he would’ve incinerated them within seconds. Let’s not forget they found themselves in a similar situation with the kid earlier in the movie. So, I’m guessing they knew it was useless trying to stop him, especially now that he was obviously seeking revenge.

Now were they aware of how big of a threat Cable & Deadpool were? Unlikely. I’m sure they saw them as menacing, but since they seemingly didn’t possess any great powers (surely nothing like Firefist’s), I take it the staff members thought they stood a chance against them for these reasons.

Besides, in both Deadpool movies the henchmen keep shooting or continue going after DP even after realizing that he can’t be harmed... at least not permanently. It’s a cliche in many movies, and Deadpool is fully aware of this recurring theme. With all that said, this scene is ridiculous just as it was intended to be (not wanting to fight Firefist still makes sense). But it’s fun and well-executed, so it does its job.

In retrospect its weird for a "Mutant Reeducation Center" to not have any effective way to deal with mutants. Kinda makes you wonder how they are able to contain Firefist in the past.

They terrorize and keep the kids restrained psychologically. Just how a child molester would do if they had abducted a child.
