Should've just revived King of queens?

Seems like that's what CBS should have done to begin with but who knows, maybe Leah Remini was too busy with her Scientology documentary, so the creators (one of which being Kevin James) decided to roll with an entirely new concept in 2016.

I keep hearing the reason why Leah was put on "KCW" permanently had to do with how much Kevin loves working with her. I'd like to think there were other reasons behind replacing the Donna Gable character, with another being a ratings booster having Leah stick around. This is probably the only thing CBS really cares about.

Plus, it's easier to keep the name and alter the plot without completely reviving an older series.

I felt the same way at first, as KOQ was one of the last sitcoms that I actually enjoyed, but then I realized something - Jerry Stiller's age. Arthur was the best part of the show IMO. It could still go on, as far as the plot is concerned, but what a huge hole Arthur's absence would leave.
