The stand-up comedians were unfunny

Didn't mind the movie, despite being a bit self-indulgent and filled with typically sentimental romantic comedy guff... however, the biggest downfall were the stand-up comedian actors - they were anti-funny. If you're making a movie about comedians, it'd better be genuinely funny, or it just comes across as awkward, which it did here.

Honestly, most stand up comedians I've seen in person were really not very funny. Of course, regulars at a comedy club in a big city should definitely be funnier than touring comedians in smaller towns and college bars in the midwest, but the point still stands that very very few ever make it big for a reason.

foreign comedians who try to act like they've been born and raised in the West and speak with fobby accents should be the last people to be casted in Hollywood comedy. Never seen anything more cringey in my life while watching this movie
