Trying too Hard

Can't put my finger on it, but the show appears to be trying too hard to be funny. Well you gotta start somewhere and maybe it will get better. Somehow two broke girls made it past season one.

Somehow two broke girls made it past season one.

.....ya no s__t.... that is STILL up there alongside the SETI 'WoW! signal for potentially mind blowing events...

I'm still trying to figure out how Two Broke Girls is still on. For me, that is the worst show out there.

It has potential. It just needs to hit its stride.

it started as an 1 1/2 play. someone is trying to develop it into a sitcom.

I saw the play, and saw the first epi of the sitcom. I see potential - if more creative people than me can make it go 20-24 epis (how long is a season nowadays??), more power to them! there is an innocence to this, mostly from Arthur's character, being so distant to the electronic 'presence' of today. He's a post-modern hippie who still rolls out donuts, and the <Facebook/Twitter/whatever> has passed him by. along comes Franco, who may/or may not/ plug Arthur into that world.

analogy of Eve and the apple in Eden? ..though Arthur knows this is not Eden; and is leary of Franco's offerings to connect to electronic world...

..do I sense dramatic tension in future epis?? ya, you betcha!! we'll see how this appeals to broad-spectrum Americana......
