This is Sanjay Gupta's rip off of ???

Any idea which Korean , Japanese , Chinese movie Sanjay is ripping off for Kaabil ? ( most likely Korean , he does have a penchant for them).
Blindness , two major villains ...sounds like a rip off ...from aatish ( not bad ) to Jazba ( awful ) , all Sanjay has ever done is remake ( rip off ? ) other movies ....

Only asking since would be good to watch the original ahead of this ...

Must be a Korean movie! By the way, Korean movie rip off is no more the staple of only Sanjay Gupta.. Teen, released today and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, is also a ripped off from Korean movie Montage!

This is a great post. I thought I'd be the first to call it but you beat me to it. Sanjay Gupta is a talentless hack who is also a thief and I'm shocked he's still getting opportunities to direct. Of course, this is being produced by the bald ass Rakesh Roshan so it shouldn't really be a surprise. Krrish 3 was one of the worst films ever made in Bollywood. I can't even get over the idiocy of calling the film Krrish 3, without ever making Krrish 1 or 2. Tisca Chopra also came out recently and said Rakesh Roshan almost forced her to sleep with him during a film in the 90s, enabling the casting couch in the film industry. Again, not surprising but it still serves as a reminder of how despicable this man is.

I think it might be the remake of "I SAW THE DEVIL".
But because of the *beep* censor board we have, Indian audiences would never be able to experience the gore and thrill of the original.

Ek Villain was the rip off of I saw the Devil.

LOL why not Badlapur?

Yes, as expected. Its a Rip Off of a Korean movie too called Broken (2014). Same plot except a little change that Hrithik does not have a Daughter and He is blind. Same 2 villains story, cops can't find the murderer and all. check yourself.

Plot of Broken:
Sang-Hyun, who lost his wife, lives with his daughter Soo-Jin. One day, Soo-Jin is raped and murdered. Frustrated by the lack of progress in his daughter’s case, Sang-Hyun gets a mysterious hint by an unknown voice. He learns the identity of the two men who killed his daughter and the address of one of those two men. Sang-Hyun then goes to the home of that man and finds some evidence. Full of anger he kills the murderer. The father is now a fugitive and searched by the police while hunting down the other killer on himself..

Lot of Tamil movies buddy. Late Yesteryear actor Murali did a movie (80s) where his wife Kushboo would be raped and killed. Protagonist being blind, he would take revenge via sound and sense, like daredevil thing. Bollywood ripping off is not new thing.

This was in the 90s, the tamil movie was Iravu Suriyan starring Murali as a blind man whose wife Khushboo gets raped by some people and Murali takes revenge by killing them.

I guess what they did was, they combined both broken and iravu suriyan and came out with Kaabil.

But all in all, no complaints, i equally liked Kaabil as well.

I understand this but look at the bright side. 99% didn't watch the original movie and never gonna watch it as its korean and old movie. But by making remakes like this we are getting good movies to watch instead of other craps. Just they need to give some credit to original film creators.
