I am surprised....

I am surprised after the picture incident, they didn't write in an "Nancy Grace" type character to interview and condemn her and her mother, just to make them look more sympathetic.

The writer really overemphasized the importance of the mother and daughter. I know the movie is about them, but she went way overboard. I think she made the other characters look almost incompetent and or naive than normal.

Does anyone know what kind of budget these movies have?
