I Think People are Missing the Message

Yeah, it's a Lifetime movie; i.e. bad, but this is the second movie on Lifetime made in the past year which seems to be sending the same message. Stop being so free and clear with photos of yourselves, and of your lives. Stop telling people where you live, and when you'll be out of town, and stop acting like the world is your friend. People have become way too unguarded with their lives, and it's become way too easy for someone to get a hold of your info and your picture and use it against you and ruin your life.

People need to start being smarter about being online. It's fine to be friendly, but no one needs to know everything about you and know what you look like. Stop using social media sites like they're a telephone line and you're just talking to your best friend. They're not, and you're not.

Most people are idiots. Period. They put everything on the internet. Where they live, when they leave the house, how long they will be gone, when they go on vacation, the brand new TV they bought, the pricey furniture, jewelry, etc. Just go ahead and post "come and get it". They just dole out personal information left and right and wonder why they get taken advantage of. Never ceases to amaze me. I don't use social media - facebook, myspace, twitter, snapchat, pintrest, instagram(?)..None of it. I don't like it, I don't trust it, and I view it as a waste of time. Besides, I just observe the people who use it regularly - and they honestly seem miserable in their daily lives. I could be wrong, but I don't think I'm missing much.
