Thoughts?

Let's get the negatives out of the way first... This often felt a bit aimless and meandering and would have benefitted from being limited to maybe four episodes and tightened up... It owed an awful lot to "District 9", etc... The tone wasn't quite right, with the comedy elements fading in and out, rather than being integral... I suppose the sudden full frontal nudity was another tonal issue... I'm certainly not prudish and, generally, think film and programme makers should be less coy about nudity. But, getting an eyeful of massive alien todger in the last few minutes of the last episode, after the rest of the series had been todger-free, felt out of place, as if they randomly decided to say: "Look - the aliens really do have big knobs..!" On the positive side... This did have touches of originality - I loved how the slang term for the aliens was "morks". (Would anyone much younger than me know where that came from..?) I always find Michael Socha and Michael Smiley very watchable and the more I see of Jim Howick and Michaela Coel, the more I like them too... It certainly could have been better. But, I found it perfectly entertaining.

It's awesome. 10 out of 10. I like how it's raw, I'm so sick of shows where nothing can happened prior to being calculated how the audience would react to it. This dares to tell the story w/o feeling need to suck up to anyone.

I thought it was pretty good. Agree about the comedy element being a bit hit n miss.
I was disapointed at all the negative threads here mostly saying " this is bull , the aliens are just like us and dont have superpowers, and arnt green " . I think they missed the point.

Some shows are so bad they can be funny. This is not one of them.

However, if you find this show entertaining then there are many other shows available you can watch that are just as entertaining: Rush Hour, Hunters, The Expanse, Minority Report, Life in Pieces, Outsiders, Chicago Fire/PD/MD/OMG, and ect. . .

I liked your District 9 reference & it gave me a framework of what maybe the production team was thinking of.

Not the worst TV show out there; just the same low budget, no story or directing that leaves the assessment of the actors out of the loop entirely.

This was such a disappointment to me. I guess I had high expectations because I am a big fan of Misfits.
