Worst heist movie ever.

Save your money and wait for this to come out on Redbox or TV. There are like 2 funny parts and the first hour of the movie is pointless. Katie and Hillary being in this movie was pointless as well.

This movie did have problems overall.... but I must say...I did like it.

I would agree with you though Bubba.... Wait for it on DVD/Streaming>> It is not worth $10 in the cinema.

reply

Gotta agree. Nothing special about this one. Craig's acting is funny, but basically, there are no likeable characters and the heist is so subpar. I was expecting some ingenious, complex and thrilling heist. It just felt so easy, everything was convenient and fell into place. Maybe that's the movie's way of showing how lucky they were with this job, hence it's title.

the movie skipped over so many aspects of the heist that a much better written movie or TV show would impress upon its viewers how difficult everything would be,
this movie breezes by these instances....
how did logan know where the credit card server hub was located & how did he know he could take out all credit card acceptance with a bomb being set off in a little building away from the raceway? how did he know where it was? retail companies have backup servers in case of outages,
why was there a secret passage behind the paper towel dispenser in the prison restroom? & how did logan know it was there? why would it be so easy to pry it away from the wall & who put the paint spatula in the ceiling for daniel craig to find?
ugh, still a somewhat fun movie

I thought it was a great film and very underrated. I thought it was better than Ocean’s 11, which I never really understood the hype over.

reply

I thought it was really cool because it had a heist within a heist and the crooks had a good streak in that they paid back each of the little guys they had to take advantage of in order to complete the robbery. I also liked how the movie didn’t condescend and most characters were three dimensional; not perfect but also not all negative stereotypes.

reply

It ineffectively borrowed its idea from the 1956 movie The Killing which is a much worthier watch.

reply

Old movies are even harder to watch, with all the bad acting and terrible mono sound.

reply

Have you seen The Killing?

reply

Naw. I cant watch old movies they are too grating for me.
