Crazy theory that would make things interesting.

What if DEAN is the baby daddy! The 1st scene of the next season (if there is one) starts with Rory and Dean in Rory's bed just like they did when they had their 1st affair. The only difference is that they do not get caught by lorelai this time. They then show Dean meeting up with Rory the night after the market run in to apologize for not being more excited about Rory writing a book and being concerned about being in it. Then he goes on to vent about being the sole provider of a large family and the normal struggles of being a parent. This leads to Rory confessing all her life struggles and they both agree they miss the days when they were young, in love, and life was simple. This of course leads to them having vulnerable miserable self pity hook up.

I really hope I'm wrong, but this is just crazy enough to work with this disastrous revival.

Yeah sorry but no. Dean clearly has moved on as he should have. And you might also remember he tells Rory his wife is expecting another kid in addition to the others they already have. I think he is beyond happy with his life. He had a nostalgic moment with Rory. Rory was emotional too which makes sense since she was pregnant. Amy however seems to be a fan of things that make absolutely no sense.

Rory is already pregnant when she first bumps into Dean so there's no way he's the father. She went to see Christopher after she found out she was pregnant and that happened before she saw Dean.

Dean does not deserve do end up with Rory. Dean deserves better and he got better. Plus he is over her, we see that so it would be unbelievable if they would get together again.

It is 10+ years that they´ve been together, so they both must live in the past for that to work and whilst Rory might struggle in her life and wants her perfect past with no responsibility, and everyone praising her constantly back, Dean is happily married and not living in the past anymore, he is happy in the present and does not have to mourn the past.
