2 parts?

Vin Diesel has stated that the film could be cut into two parts

“I started planning for Fast 10 before we started filming Fast 9. Very much so. The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable. Universal deserves it because of how much they’ve invested in this little saga, and it’d be good to give back to Universal. And for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come.”

Could we say that he was inspired by the success of both "Infinity War" and "Endgame"?

How come absolutely everyone was aware of this for a number of years now yet I'm still reading people getting all upset that it finished on a cliffhanger?

The film was pretty much what I was expecting, i.e. a part one.

Now as it turns out, they're now saying it may become a trilogy. So in the same way, if that is confirmed, when I watch the next part I'm not going to expect things to be wrapped up either...

Personally though, I think we get the rock's Hobbs film - which will be connected - and then a finale part 2.

I once saw DiCaprio in a car ad and had to be persuaded the Fast Furious franchise had not gone upscale and that it was an ad not a trailer.
