Han is back? How???

And did they ever mention Dom had a brother?

Here is the link to the trailer: https://youtu.be/aSiDu3Ywi8E

I knew he'd be back. There was no way Justin Lin would come back without him. And we never saw a body.

reply

they had a funeral for him though, right?

reply

Definitely. Fast 7. Han was a pretty slippery guy with all sorts of connections to serious players. If anybody could fake his own death and start a covert life, that guy could. I mean it's FANTASTIC to be sure. But this franchise is as nutty as it gets. It does lower the stakes though. Nobody stays dead, it's comic books! Just like Owen Shaw.

For me, I really don't care what the explanation for Han is. HE IS BACK!!! Han is one of my top 5 favorite Fast & Furious characters. Killing him off was one of the biggest mistakes of the Fast & Furious movies. He was my favorite character in Tokyo Drift and I grew to like him more with 4, 5, and 6 and hated that he was eventually going to die. As much as I like the character, I'll accept whatever crazy/ridiculous reason they give for how he is still alive. All I care about is he is back. I'm seeing the movie just for Han. Definitely seeing the movie now. I actually thought they would bring him back because of Owen Shaw (Statham's brother) still being alive and because of the technology in Hobbs & Shaw, but I thought they were going to save him for 10 since that's the final movie and 9 would be what branches things between Fate Of The Furious and 10 as to how Han could still be alive. I also thought that maybe the bad guys revived him, turned him evil, and then Dom and crew would be up against him throughout 9 and then bring him back to the good side during 9's final battle, so in 10 he could rejoin the team and be a good guy again from the start. But I'm glad he is back and I don't care what explanation they give. He is back. That's all I care about.

Agree 100%.

I didn't care when he appeared at the end, i just cheered.

More than likely it will be explained that Shaw didn't shoot him and he was only doing it because of Cypher and so made a deal to go through with everything and Han went into hiding. It will be something silly no matter what but like yourself i'm not bothered one bit what ridiculous reason the come up with.

In FF10 I hope they bring back Giselle too. They didn't know she would become Wonder Woman at the time.

reply

I agree as well. I don't care. Happy he's back. It was a mistake to kill him. Even Justin Lin himself has said as much about it.

Dom's brother was there since original The Fast & The Furious (2001). You just can't see him.

reply

oh he was cut out? was he on the dvd extras?

reply

On the one hand, this looks terrible. Most of the action is a rehash of stunts and sequences we've already seen before. On the other hand, i've been waiting my whole life for a Spy Hunter movie.

This looks like it will finally solidify Cena's action star status. Hopefully he'll get some good roles out of this before he's too old.

Looks interesting, It was never mentioned that Dom and Mia were the only Toretto kids, their father was mentioned a few times. I guess Jakob (Cena) is an illegitimate child or maybe just biological child who always wanted to better than Dom but left the family, led his own life not wanting anything to do with his family and after Dom betrayed Cipher, her revenge plan was to reach out to Jakob and have him go after Dom, just speculation.

Han, I knew Lin regretted killing him in the first place but having him back is a big surprise and it was best to keep his involvement a secret on set. It is easy to point out that we never saw him die and he managed to crawl out before his car exploded. I guess in Fast 10 when Deckard returns to rejoin Dom's team, Han will be questioning his alleigence.
