Do the ends justify the means?

This film is the biggest publicity stunt since "The Blair wicth Project". Producers just edited 2 hours a novel already displayed on the TV, and published as an epic film. This TV company is also producer of the film, and belongs to a group owner of the largest evangelical church in Brazil. Do the ends justify a lie?
