Bisexuality.

Loved the first season; kinda was disappointed that bisexuality wasn't mentioned or touched upon whatsoever, though.

I agree. It's unfortunate that the bisexual community is still one that tends to either be ignored completely, or looked down upon because it's surrounded by such stigma. As a bisexual woman myself, I really wish they would have touched on this. Hopefully next time.

I also wondered about this since they've seemed to leave out bisexuals, even though it's the "b" in LGBT lol. You're absolutely right that there is a stigma and certain expectations, especially regarding bisexual women in relationships with men. I'm also bisexual and I love this show but we shouldn't be ignored or not taken seriously. Things can also be difficult for bisexual men ad women and I wonder why this show doesn't touch on this.

They just started airing series two on Viceland, so I'm hoping they will address more about the B and not only the LGT! 

I don't know about you, but for me personally I think it's been hardest on three different accounts. 1) I have people think I'm going through some sort of experimental 'phase', which is just temporary. 2) People think I'm biding my time until I eventually come out as gay, because it's an impossibility for me to prefer both genders (albeit on a sliding scale at times). 3) Worst of all, it's assumed that because I like both women and men, I'm a complete whore and I'll sleep with anything that moves. Absolutely NONE of this is true, but they're things I've had to deal with for years and it can be very stressful.

or 4) men tend to expect that a threesome is always possible; 5) people tend to just call you "sexually greedy"; 6) you're untrustworthy and prone to infidelity; 7) you can be "turned", this is mostly assumed by men. Yes, I've experienced ALL of it, particularly the threesome bit. Once a man finds out you're bi, his tiny wheels start turning about the thought of a threesome and LORD don't shoot it down because they will throw such a tantrum "boohoo, I thought you liked girls too." yes, I do, but my sexuality shouldn't be based on the assumption that any kind of group sex is going to happen. I think I've only had one boyfriend that honestly didn't give a sh*t about it and was actually offended when I showed my surprise that he hadn't brought it up and I had one other that was just completely disgusted with it (this man actually TOLD me that "that's going to have to change"! I've learned to let it roll off my back and go about my business. I could end up with either a man or a woman, but I have dated mostly men. However, I am very much also physically and emotionally attracted to women.

I'm hoping they will address more about the B and not only the LGT!

HAH! I loved this! You're a poet, and didn't even know it!! Yeah I know, I went old-school with that. I'm a 80s/90s kid, what can I say😜😜

I count myself lucky that I haven't had people asking for threesomes! But I have had someone thinking they can 'turn' me straight in order to keep 100% of my loyalty and attention. Pretty sure if I wanted to cheat on someone, it would have nothing to do with my sexuality, it would just have to do with me being a bitch. I don't do that sort of thing. If I'm with someone, I'm with them, period.

 I say that to people all the time!

I think a lot of that might have to do with the fact that the majority of countries they've visited are rather homophobic. The people that ARE out and talking to Ellen and Ian are seriously brave and often risking their lives just being out and gay or trans. And while there may be bi people all over...if you're bi and live in a country like that, there's little reason to come out. You can theoretically have a happy relationship and sex life with someone of the opposite sex. So...I don't imagine there are many out bi people to talk to in the countries they visit.

However, I think an episode in the a western country in North America or western Europe or Australia would be very interesting to see. You should contact Viceland and tell them that! I'd enjoy watching it. :)
