But why did Horace have to blurt out about Pete's troubled past? Seems like they were both trying to save Jenny at the expense of poor ol' Pete.

I think it was more about appeasing Sylvia. He has no spine when it comes to her, just like he had no spine with Uncle Pete. The only one he ever feels free to unload on is Pete, which is sad because Pete's nicer than either of them.

Edie Falco deserves an Emmy for that episode alone. She was such a *beep* Incredible acting
