Hated Episodes 1 & 2, should I push on?

Is it more of the same? I paid for the whole season upfront so that money is lost but I'm more concerned about wasting time. I knew that it wasn't going to be 'Cheers' but I thought that it would be closer to the ironic, slice of life dramedy of his FX 'Louie' but I find it to more like a community center play trying too hard.

I say don't bother. I think it's CK's attempt to troll his audience. If I told you how it ends, you'd laugh, but not because it's funny.

Not everybody is going to like this, but I say give it more of a chance than you think you should. Usually I quit things after one or two eps as well. Push through, there are a lot of great moments. It does drag at the beginning, and honestly other parts, but there are scenes I couldn't look away from. If you're expecting comedy it isn't here, but if you've listened to Louie over the years, the messages and observations on, let's call it the human condition, are here. Some small, half-limping jokes, and witty observations, but it's a drama.

Being unrelentingly depressing does not make it a drama.

That's a big fat NO!

There is no change of pace or direction, and since you really hated the first two, you should run in the opposite direction, 'cause it only gets worse.
