2x09

Wow, this was like, the episode where everything happened it seemed.

Wish we could've found out Hermione and Hiram's secret, but I'm guessing that'll play into the next half of the season, so plenty of time for reveal. Wonder what they're doing if it's not illegal. Because if it turns out to be some silly Big Fish crap about buying the town just to improve it, that'd feel like a letdown since it's made to feel so sinister.

Jughead. Oh dear, how annoying. Sure Jug, you're still like the newest Serpent, but I'm sure you know so much better than your dad about how things work. I swear it's true what they say, you know you're an adult when you agree more with the adults on teen shows. Jughead was an idiot, should've killed Penny. She'll be back and die.

And of course the Black Hood storyline isn't finished. Seemed obvious it was the janitor. But now the two Black Hoods theory is confirmed. Also obvious. Mainly because they kept playing up the eyes Archie saw. It wasn't Conway that night. Then Betty's revelation to herself that it wasn't over. So she and Archie will bond over it, driving a wedge between him and Veronica. The attacks/killings will start again, but be made to look random, and only Archie and Betty will suspect the truth, everyone else thinking it's over. I think Black Hood 2 is Papa Keller. It'll fit he has a warped sense of justice that is like a double life for him. He'll want to be a vigilante to clean up the town. Who knows how he and Conway fell together exactly. He was willing to kill his partner to make it look like the spree was over, to protect himself. And I bet to make it even more Scream-like it'll turn out his wife had a thing with Archie's dad. Hope I'm wrong though, Keller's hot.

Betty was a bit of an idiot, should've hit the Black Hood a second time with the shovel to subdue him better for her own safety. Honestly there was hardly any dirt on Archie's coffin, if she'd just called to him that it was safe he would've been able to get himself out no problem.

Also, I'm baffled at how we're supposed to view the town in terms of size. On one hand, it's so large that it has at least two high schools, which are very different in culture, to reflect the different parts of the town. Yet, it's so small, that a band of half a dozen men went after the guy who had supposedly killed the Conways, and that group included a Blossom, basically the richest guy in town, and a Cooper, who he likely didn't get along with. Nothing major, just makes it confusing, do we view this as a town with 5,000 people, or 70,000 people?
