justice league unlimited or teen titans go type of show?

Justice League/unlimited was one of the best superhero pieces of media, besides comics
So will this be off of that or will this be another horrifying cheesy remake like teen titans go?

So far, just based on the art it looks more like Teen Titans Go! I honestly hope they won't make that mistake again. Only reason that monstrosity is still on the air is because of it's ratings. No offense to little kids who love it's mindless nature but they'd be better off without it. The previous Justice League series and it's sequel were brilliant, two of the best shows ever on the network in my opinion. It would be incredible if they could work the same cartoon magic into this reboot.
Cartoon Network revealed a big cast ensemble for the series yesterday. They want to focus on other characters as well not just the trio and the main members of the league.
Here's the link for that article:

Anxiously awaiting more news until it's pilot's debut.

I don't think many people at WB/DC thinks TTG is a mistake. Probably the opposite of that considering that it has both high ratings and some surprisingly good writing for a kids show.

I think it'll be more of a "Batman: The Bold and the Bold" type show.

The artwork and 11-minute format suggest a kiddie show. I see that both Butch Lukic and Alan Burnett, who worked on parts of the DC Animated Universe with Bruce Timm, are working on the show, but I think it was Timm more than anyone else who tried to sneak more adult material into the DC Animated Universe. In the commentaries on the DCAU DVDs, he always talked about how he tried to push the envelope and make Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Justice League more adult. I never got the sense from the commentaries that anyone else, except maybe Paul Dini, who had a thing for Zatana and I think pushed for her character to be more adult, really tried to push things. Butch always seemed like a good guy, but I don't think he or Alan Burnett would necessary try to push the show in a more adult direction.

When Cartoon Network canceled both Young Justice and Green Lantern, Bruce Timm (who produced the DCAU and Green Lantern) said that the shows skewed too old, and that the older audience didn't provide sufficient "toyization." Apparently selling toys with superheroes has become a major source of revenue, especially for Cartoon (through toy companies buying ads during the shows) that they prefer little kiddie shows like Teen Titans Go! to more adult fare like Beware the Bat (which was someone's idea of a replacement for YJ and GL, even though it was even more mature than those two shows), so at this point I would expect an 11-minute show like Justice League Action to be aimed a pre-adolescents. If you look at the drawings, they look very cartoony, suggesting a younger audience. It's still possible that the producers might try to slip in more material to appeal to adults, but the 11-minute format prevents much nuance.

I'd call it Justice League By way of Brave and the Bold

Before the show premiered, I figured it would go for a lighter and softer approach like Batman: The Brave And The Bold, which i don't mind since it's a show that appealed to everyone, including the target audience. The trailer only cemented that theory.

Watched the trailer...

I don't like it. It's not just lighter and softer, it's just...juvenile. Not as terrible as TTG, but then again, that didn't give off an initial bad impression either. The gags are so dumb. I don't like the way the Joker acted in that brief clip he was in either. It feels like Brave and the Bold except with less focus, and poorer dialogue.

I guess it's not surprising. The production crew did make it clear that TTG was an inspiration for this thing. A lot of fans are going to be disappointed by this, I think, especially since Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill may not have much material to work with here.

I would like to point you to these two articles that pretty much explain why the reboot being lighter and softer than other action shows is a good idea in theory.

We of course have to get the usual barrage of fanboy wanking and complaints about JLA, mostly from 90’s Brats who are doing their usual yammering on about how this series is raping their memories or whatever.

Seriously, no *beep* Sherlock. Cartoon Network is a KIDS’ programming channel. What did you expect? I honestly don’t get why so many people are so shocked and appalled to learn that a CHILDREN’S TV network puts out shows tailored for CHILDREN.

Oh, wow, these articles are so very insightful and not condescending garbage!

I especially love the second quote. Children shows doesn't translate to 'idiotic, pandering' trash. I'm not sure JLA is that as of yet, but there are a lot of animated shows on TV like TTG, PPG 2016, Pickle and Peanut, Breadwinners, etc that treat their audiences like infantile morons while their production crews and apologists shriek out "BUT ITS FOR KIDS, IT'S FOR KIDS!".

You need to stop listening to Mr. Enter!

So viewers should just gobble up sloppy, unwatchable crap just because "it's for kids"? It's just another excuse for laziness, just like 'turn off yor brain'.

Lighten up!

Wow. Great comeback. 

This is not as stupid as Teen Titans go but this is essentially the Teen Titans Go treatment!
I have made a short video below where I break this show into tiny pieces and expose it for why it really is a piece of crap!
