So disappointed in the shutting down of these boards. I've been on for the past nine years and look forward to it. I guess I will have to settle for TV Fanatic where I can post comments but I love the interaction on IMDB and the set up here. Hope someone else does something similar. Love the way you can put spoilers, quotes, emoticons etc. will really miss this. IMDB please change your mind.

It's the only reason I come here. To see if anyone has the same thought or opinion as me. To see if I'm the only one who noticed something or if I'm an idiot who missed something.
The only other reason to come to imdb is to check if that guy in that thing is the same guy from that other thing. which takes like 8 seconds.
Me too. And of course I would research for an actor. If I noticed someone on a show but didn't recognise them and they weren't listed in the episode, I would come here and ask the posters and most often than not someone would know who it was.
I am already going through withdrawals. I've been looking for other sites to join but so far the closest is one that I'm already on, TV Fanatic. But when coming to research I will still have to come back to IMDB cause they're the best when it comes to telling you about a show or an actor.

It's the primary reason I come on IMDB too! I get that not everyone is nice to each other, but this is ridiculous. First, most posters are fine. Second, why ruin it for everyone because the trolls cannot help themselves? This is absurd. We're adults, not a child who loses toy privileges BC mommy doesn't want to hear the bickering.
Welp, it'll save more room on my phone at any rate. I wasn't a fan of the app anyway. The forums never updated right.
I can't believe that's the reason they are stopping this. Because of the trolls? Why not do away with the administrator and just keep the ignore button, so if someone doesn't like what someone is saying they just press ignore and continue with their postings.
Gosh I really love this message board and I'm going to be really really sad when it's gone.
