Can't see this horrible looking show being in anyway successful.

Anyone who "predicts" a show is going to be a huge failure has obviously preset their "funny meter" NOT to like it, regardless how funny it ends up being. That being said - Katy Mixon?! Deidrich Bader?! My prediction? Funny as *beep* if just these guys did a two-person trade-alogue.
shareI tend to agree. I enjoy several of ABC's sitcoms but the ads for this one annoy me off the charts. It looks really cliched, the gags they've shown fall flat, and the titular Housewife's voice and speaking style are like nails on a chalkboard. I guess you can try dismiss me as not being the target audience, except that I AM part of the audience for their other shows where these ads are being run and I sure know I'm not going to watch it.

shareHey, DonnaHurtlocker.........the first poster to reply to you (madmen something)'s comment should be taken as a compliment to you - because clearly ABC's "target audience" are those with a 6th grade education and/or a less than 80 IQ score!! I don't think I've ever seen such a horrible attempt at a "sitcom" - and I've been watching comedies for 50+ years. For God's sake, the what, 8 year old daughter spending time in the bathroom while her Dad is taking a dump (and she wants her ears plugged so she doesn't hear the "plop"??? THAT'S DISGUSTING, NOT FUNNY.)
I hope it gets the boot by next Tuesday, and the so-called "writers" beg their parents to let them move back into their basements.

This will be a MAJOR flop and by December or January, ABC will be very quickly juggling the Tuesday night schedule to save it.
I also watched The Middle, which once was my favorite sitcom, but it's very creaky in the joints, and I doubt it can anchor one of ABC's worst nights. The Real O'Neals is horrible, too, as is the atrocious Fresh off the Boat.
I predict a clean slate by February. Maybe they can bring Cristela back. Can't be any worse!
OMG, ScaryMary123!!..... this nightmare of a show cannot possibly stay on the air through NOVEMBER, let alone December or January.....unless "the powers that be" at ABC have all been dropped off a 10 story building and landed on their heads, they'll HAVE to listen to the critics, and the public, about this complete farce of a show. I've never been a fan of The Middle, or The Real O'Neals, and worst of all Fresh Off The Boat (with 5 different ethnic Asians supposedly from the same family - how stupid do the producers think the audience is? What, all Asians look alike?, so they can cast a Korean, a Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, etc etc who are playing 3 generations of the SAME family, and nobody'll notice?? Ridiculous. Pathetic.)
Thank the good Lord that here in Canada, we have at least an hour of decent Tuesday night TV - The Mercer Report & 22 Minutes - 2 satirical news shows (think of a combination of The Daily Show, Colbert, Full Frontal, SNL kind of thing).
But I can't say it strongly enough without cuss words....American Housewife is the absolute WORST SHOW I've ever seen, bar none.

Hey I appreciate it but I was really just kidding. You probably were too. I like it but I can see why people wouldn't. I had no intentions of liking this show. My expectations were so low that I ended up liking it.
