Giving Oliver plenty of glowing compiments about President Trump will give this show an edge and timeliness. Other characters could react to him, but Oliver owns this moment. And with Trump in office for 4 years, Oliver can carry the show into syndication.

I watch Dennis the Menace and the principal scolded Tommy saying his name was Thomas. Then he asked who was president at the end of World War 3 and Tommy said Harold Truman.
I thought that was funny even though it referred to long ago events and Harry Truman and the actor who played Tommy are long dead.
