there's no excuse

for being rich and fat.
If you can hire a personal trainer and consult a nutritionist and shop at posh, organic grocery stores, you should be in good shape.

You don't know why weight gain occur you judgy tool. For instance you can be on the healthiest diet, exercise regularly but have to take steroids for a disease which would cause weight gain or have a thyroid dysfunction. Not to mention weight creeps on slowly after 30 as the metabolism slows down. Stop judging a situation you aren't privy to know any info about.

These medical issues you speak of can be attributed to maybe 20 lbs. of extra weight, maximum, Even then it is possible to achieve a healthy weight, just more difficult. Guess who has PCOS? Victoria Beckham. Hypothyroidism? Sofia Vergara. Lifelong asthma? Jessica Alba. T1 diabetes? Halle Berry.

Fat? She's big yea but fat seems harsh.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

There are a lot of medications and medical issues that cause a body to gain and sustain weight. Plus, some people actually don't find a problem with being a more "normal" size than being a stick.

I happen to find her sexier in her current pictures!

The character isn't normal sized. She is fat. And medical issues only cause about 10-15 lbs extra weight at the most.

moionfire:
She is considered a normal-sized woman in the real world---Hollywood has brainwashed us all into thinking a woman can only be attractive if she's 90 pounds sopping wet and starving herself into looking like a damn toothpick/stick/twig. She looks like the average woman, period. Yeah, she's fat, but fat dosen't automatically mean "unhealthy"---that depends on how fat you are. If you're over 300 pounds, hell yeah, you need to lose some weight, but you don't need to be shamed into doing it,though. I mean, you can be too damn thin and that's unhealthy as hell, too. It also depends on what your BMI tells you (which is what your weight should be depending on your height and something else.) If someone wants to lose weight, they need to do it at their own pace, and their own time. I've lost weight over the past year just doing regular exercise and cutting down big-time on eating a lot. If you enjoy exercising to your favorite songs, that makes the exercise even more fun (that's what I've always done, lol.) Everyone can't afford a trainer to help get themselves into shape---I'd say that losing weight is an individual thing---it varies according to the person's needs.

I don't think the family is rich-- hence them renting rather than owning their home.

What is your problem, opening the same topic word for word on the message boards of every new show with an overweight actress?

And btw, why didn't you post this under Kevin Can Wait?

Is this your only thought? You wrote the same thing on This is Us. Troll.

Like most over weight people, they don't care. She made that clear at the end when she ate the cupcake. Also when the new neighbor wanted to get her out to exercise, she said that is not gonna happen. She's a happy fatty. If she is going to be like that, then she should not be bashing those are taking care of themselves.

If someone walked up to you and told you that you needed to lose weight and they could "whip you into shape" are you honestly saying that you wouldn't get angry? That you would be fine with that?

It's about the woman's approach more than anything. You don't walk up to a stranger and start talking about their weight.

Mustang Mama:
The thing is, somebody's weight is really nobody's business. Unless you're that overweight person's friend, why the hell should you care how big someone is? Unless they're squashing you in a car or a bus or something, who the hell cares? And to make a blanket statement like "most overweight people don't care about their weight" is really ridiculous. When you see an overweight person, you don't know what that person is going through to lose the weight, and you can't always tell. And there's no way in hell you can just drop 25 or 50 pounds overnight just like that---it does not work that way,and trying to do that--that's horribly unhealthy in itself. It took me at least 6 or 7 months to lose some weight---which I did for health reasons---and while it took some real work, I still had fun doing it. I'm not trying to turn myself into a damn stick, though---I still have some meat on my bones, but I'm definitely not as overweight as I was nearly a year ago, which is good. That being said, there need to be women of all shapes and sizes on TV, not just the usual typical stick-thin types. (I know Hollywood basically forces actresses to look like that, which is sickening, so I'm not just blaming them for that---it's Hollywood's idea of what women should look like---and of course, Hollywood is run mainly by men---no big surprise there where this idea of every actress having to be stick-thin comes from.) This obsession with feeling like we have to regulate every overweight person is ridiculous as hell---let's give it a rest.

I don't think they're supposed to be very rich. Looks like they're in one of the smallest houses in the area, and they rent. Not poor, but not rich enough to continuously spend money on personal trainers and more expensive food.
