Such unbearable brats.

That seems to be the way most kids are portrayed in sitcoms these days. If our kids had behaved that way, they would get an ass whipping.

I guess it's supposed to be funny and it can be to a point but these kids have no redeeming qualities. It's hard to watch. So horrible to their parents. When Oliver back talked to his mom and her friend after she told him to put his dishes in the dish washer, Katy should have said something. If I talked to adults like that when I was a kid, I would have been kicked into next week.

The older daughter is likeable enough. I hate the son.

Yes, the son is a complete brat. Being and thinking different than your parents can be portrayed better. The writers should take a hint from the way Alex Keaton was. Too many children/teen roles written bratty these days. Is this how California writers see young people?

They have unlikable qualities for sure, but Oliver's ingenious altering of defective polo shirts to resell at a higher price is pretty awesome. I also appreciate how he so desperately tries to fit in to Westport against his family's wishes.
