well they feel as if they're helpless...Lukas was deeply conflicted and guilt about killing the turkeys and after tommy and his girl died because they didn't tell Helen about what has happen his guilt pilled up and then philip was trying to convince him that it was too late only to find out that is was too late and then lukas heard the shooting and had a traumatic flashback to the night of the triple homicide

I think the boys were desperate and trying to save something, but they got there too late to save the turkeys... or their friends for that matter. Good episode though.

His family has been hosting a Turkey Shoot for decades...
