No joke, I was shocked how good the pilot was. I'm like all of you in that I believe the original film is sacred so I was extremely hesitant about them remaking it as a series. Again, I was shocked how good the first episode was.
It's not so much scary as it is unnerving. It's incredibly tense and there's a twist towards the end that tells us that we've only begun to scratch the surface of what the story is going to be about in the coming season. The two priests give fantastic performances as well.

I was very impressed and I'll definitely be watching the whole series.

I hope so! The few new shows we watched this week have been very lackluster.

I think perception on the show turned when the trailers were released and when it was made clear the show wasn't a remake, but a brand new story set in the same "universe." It then took on an air of originality and that helped generate buzz for the show.

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked to watch it!

I agree. I really enjoyed the first episode and can't wait to see what happens next week, especially after that attic scene!

AMAZING!!!!!!! All the trolls judging this before it aired look like idiots! Fargo proved you can make a series based off a movie and it can stand 100% on its own. This was GENIUS!!!

It's a continuation to the first movie but I don't know if they'll really include more info other than that article.

I wasn't going to watch because I thought it was a remake,when I saw that it was inspired by the book I changed my mind as I knew it would be a different story,im glad I did it is really well done I'm going to save the eps to binge watch when its over.this is a mini series right?

Already watched the pilot twice.

Seen TV remake, Lethal Weapon and MacGyver reboot, gotta say that the two FOX remakes are better.

I don't think this is a miniseries or limited series.

I agree completely! I was definitely impressed with the first episode, the twist at the end took me by surprise and I really enjoyed the performances by the two male leads (Priests). I will be watching this show every week for sure!
