What if Reagan McNeil changed her name as an adult and turns out to be the Geena Davis character? Would that be why she's so paranoid and chasing down the priest in episode one with no real concrete evidence her daughter is possessed? She's paranoid over her own daughters?

yeah, some people (myself included...i think!) have been thinking that Regan is indeed Geena's character but she changed her name. it's been mentioned on this board that Angela (Geena) seemed to already have had knowledge/familiarity with the whole demons/possession thing. i like this idea though! it's a nice nod to the original film but without stunt casting (if they had cast Linda Blair, who i DO adore, in the Angela role).
shareI doubt it. The producers stated the show only takes place in the same universe as the original film. It'd also be a pretty silly twist, if you ask me.
