(Spoiler for S01E02 below)

I really had high hopes for this series, however now that ep 2 has revealed that this will not be an isolated case of possession - but rather an entire town that's apparently being run amok with possessed homeless peeps doing the bidding of the devil....I'm starting to have my doubts.

And harvesting body organs now?? I'm really trying my best to not cringe.

I think what this show needs is a Linda Blair cameo. The show has already acknowledged that it exists within the world in which the 1973 film took place. I'm crossing my fingers that Davis is NOT going to be revealed as Regan (yes, a name change will obviously need to be explained). Davis and Blair are only 3 years apart, so this is certainly a plausible possibility. Davis' character was too quick to think possession in ep1 for her not to have somehow been through something like this before in the past.

But even better: imagine...we're near the finale of the season and an episode is wrapping up. We're in the throes of Tomas and Marcus exercising Casey. Camera cuts to the Rance residence exterior. An unknown character is walking slowly towards the house...its night, it foggy, chilling demonic vocals can be heard only faintly from the house within, the character on the street is illuminated only from the silhouette of the street lamp. Camera pulls in for a close up..we see Regan deadpaning the house. Que Mike Oldfields "Tubular Bells". End scene.

I would seriously sh!t my pants.

That would be cool.

However I highly doubt that's going to happen.

They've already used Tubular Bells in the pilot which makes me think it's not going to be used again until the finale... which kinda blows.

I just keep wanting to hear it in scary parts and it's just not there. Funny thing though in the movie it was just playing during a long sequence of nothing important happening if I recall correctly. They also didn't use the true track, they just looped the main theme... if I recall correctly.

The music is crazy expensive, and they would have to pay for it EVERY TIME it is used. I would love if the iconic bells were used too, but I understand the money aspect.

The irony is most of the world pronounces my name just as yours is spelled "Desiderio". Drives me batsh*t. But no, my name is Mike DiDesidero, I live outside of Philly.

I wouldn't stop watching the show if Blair had a cameo, but I would be disappointed in it for using her.

I remember her other work, and frankly, I wasn't that impressed. She went too far down the hokey trail for me to treat an appearance by her as anything I would call good again.

Well, she did a cameo on Supernatural that very much alluded heavily to the Exorcist. At the end, Dean even notes that she "looked familiar" and he had a sudden craving for pea soup.

Hot guys + dark subject matter + plenty of violence = watchable television.

...I totally agree! Fox has deep pockets so they need to just spend the necessary money to get Linda Blair on the show! A cameo would be awesome! Some kind of recurring role (if it was done right) would be off the charts!

Com'on, Fox! Just do it!

It could still be only Pazuzu. Don't forget that he is a master deceiver and has managed to cause people to act violently /the prequels/ and to possess many people /The Exorcist III/.If Angela is Regan IMO it is "just" Pazuzu, up to his old tricks again.

We know from ep1 when father tomas was googling demonic possession that Reagan's incident came up so they definitely could go that route.

If someone hates you for no reason, give that jerk a reason :)
