Loved It ... Except

Loved this show. Loved everything about it ... except what they did with the character of Chris :( she was such a devoted and caring mother who only wanted the best for her daughter in the original novel and movie. I just can't accept that she would exploit her like that and have their relationship fall apart. She was not only a survivor, but also a hero to me in the original. I also don't like how they just killed her off so unfittingly like that after only a couple episodes. It's the only thing, in this otherwise terrific show, that really keeps me from truly accepting this as cannon.
