Amazing relieved and disappointed with gun/bully plotline

I did not want to see a kid shoot another kid in the gun/bully plotline that the TV Show writers seemed to be steamrolling towards . TJ is pretty much the only likeable character on this show and I knew that the writers could not really protray a more realistic result of a kid being bullied and bringing a gun to school. How did TJ manage to put the gun in the other boy's locker if it was locked? Did TJ stealthly memorized the bully Andre lock combination. No 10 year old kid would actually think like an adult TV Show writer and plant a gun on a bully.Sadly, in most cases, a child with a gun who feels that he has been bullied, would only do one thing and that is to attempt to shoot the bully.Again, this is something I did not actually want to see on TV but the writers seemed to have written themselves into a corner. I understand that this TV series is based on a Danish TV series and I am curios if the writers actually followed this plotline from that TV series.
