straight forward mystery movie.........just pointless

so they found out about the culprit by digging bit here and there within first half an hour.
whats the big deal here? the brother told them who the guy was immediately, like wtf??
where is the dangerous or interesting villain? where is the twist or something that makes you think?
we have come to a point in movie business where average tv movie like this gets 8/10 ratings.

and there was no need for quenching the thirst of feminists by introducing a retarded female lead.
almost makes it a leftist crap.
