He is such a strong character I think they would have shown a scene establishing that he lived if he had lived, plus, they did not show the Jeremy Renner character helping anyone else but FBI girl after the shoot out.

Not very smart cops. The moment the oil workers pulled their guns up they would have realized they were guilty, and in fact the whole thing was totally incompetently planned.

What reason would the oil workers have to pull their guns if they were not guilty, or getting them in a crossfire?

But also, what kinds of idiots are those oil workers who are so horny they kill one of their own and his fiance/girlfriend?
