Problems in this series, aka Michael Wood screws it up again

1. Makes it sound like Buddhism came to China only in the Tang Dynasty period. It was much earlier than that. Makes sense, right? Why would Xuan Zang travel to India to learn more about Buddhism if he had never heard of it?

2. Xuan Zang wrote a letter to India requesting more translated texts?? There's a translation and mail order service?? No, of course not. He just requested texts, not the translations. Here's the letter: https://books.google.com/books?id=H3lUIIYxWkEC&pg=PA605&lpg=PA605&dq=xuanzang+letter+to+india&source=bl&ots=xedD2PdTmz&sig=YGuvi8YdqrFPq6wnN9xU_ODwG1M&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjth-XDvNTUAhVI5mMKHVQHDTIQ6AEIZDAJ#v=onepage&q=xuanzang%20letter%20to%20india&f=false

3. "An Lu Shan and his Tibetans". This made it sound like An Lu Shan was a Tibetan, which was not the case at all. He was Turkish and also the emperor's right hand man, sort of. Read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_Lushan
