I cant believe This didnt get a ton traffic after season 2 Episode 5..."ronny/liily"

I'm just watching Barry for the first time...

and just finshed S2. E5..."Ronny/Lilly"

It was an absolutely amazing Episode, Immediately after watching it I checked IMDB and saw that it was by far the highest rated episode, then checked some reviews and reactions and everyone seems to be blown away by it...

I came here expecting to see at least a thread about it....but nope...

anyways, just wanted to here some opinions...

i did not like that episode & felt the show really went off into absurdity with that supernaturally-strong & agile little girl,
before that EP the show was much more grounded in reality

Agree. The episode stretched the limits of reality in many ways. The feral girl was ridiculous. Why not just a martial arts girl who kicks Barry's butt, especially since he's not fighting back.

She gets away, knowing that he killed her father and was talking about taking her to Chicago (kidnap) and she did not call the police or scream for help??? Any neighbor or passerby would have called the police if she asked. Then they run into her again like 30 minutes later and she sits on a roof for hours without anyone noticing?

Then Ronny is alive, but never called the police after someone tried to kill him and his daughter is missing AND he just happens to be in the same supermarket as Barry?

So, so, so unbelievable. Otherwise a fantastic show.

Agreed!

Some time on from the OP but just watched it and yeah that was a fantastic episode. The show's pretty good but this was taking it up to another level.

Was surprised to see Bill Hader himself come up as the director of the episode at the end...

I almost feel like they were playing with a Super Soldier kind of thing in that episode.

Both the father and the daughter barely speak and both appear to be super human when confronted.

The father apparently dies during the fight at the house and then shows up to the market and manages to almost kill Barry there, fights employees and eventually kills the Detective. He is almost in a trance like state both times.

The daughter on arrival appears to be a regular everyday girl and appears shaken up. She then heads into the house without even confronting Barry. Was she possibly going to the bathroom to take the same drug or substance as her father? As it appears it was lasting several hours for both her and her father.

I wonder if they will deal more with this in further seasons. Only thing that makes sense to me as the show is relatively in a real world type story and not fantasy.

Easily one of the craziest, most bizarre, and most darkly hilarious episodes of TV I've ever seen.

I love this show.
