Worst attempt at a cooking-related documentary I've ever seen. Pathetic. Yes, the aboriginal tribe was interesting, but maybe in passing. I felt like we dwelled way too much on them. The pacing is way, way off. I don't get what the producer/writers were going for here.
shareAgree 1000%. The trailer made the show out to be some masterpiece but when watching it I was very let down. The stories told were either just plain boring or disturbing. Too stretched out, not enough worthwhile content. Chefs table on the other hand, now that is an invigorating masterpiece.
I thought it was great. He took a cultural approach to cooking instead of just food porn the entire time.
