Cant say Im surprised, it was little more than 24 plot by numbers. Corey hawkins wasnt really that great as a lead. Didnt rate him as a background character in the walking dead either.

Some good news though is that fox is exploring some other ideas of using the 24 brand in a anthology type scenario. Which would be the way to go. The same thing happening to the same people every year in the exact same way is kinda dull. And without Sutherland to carry it, people just dont care apparently.

It's so sad how FOX messed up this series so bad. Their first mistake: Having Jack seek out an imam at the end of Day 7. It was out of character and it immediately alienated the show's massive Christian base. You don't do that.

Their second mistake: 24 Redemption was a weak movie. It could have been done a lot better. I actually played it for my family and friends, and one by one they walked out of the room and did something else. It was so depressing.

Their third mistake: Not bringing out a blockbuster movie around the time of 24 Day 5 and Day 6, when 24 was at its height in popularity. FOX always talked about bringing out a theatrical release of 24, yet doing so today would be a complete flop at the box office, even if Kiefer reprised Jack Bauer.

and finally the fourth mistake: Having a new season without the star character--and not even mentioning the star character: Jack Bauer. You don't do that. It's like having Star Trek Deep Space Nine or Voyager not acknowledge Picard or Kirk. Both series did that and they succeeded.
