I have to say it: altough not ALL latinos are like this family, MOST of them are! Just like them: the grandma, the kids, the ex. Is not the perfect show, but is GREAT. Rita Moreno has that terrible accent but she manage to make an oustanding performance and is great at delivering lines ("Burn this").

Most Italian and Jewish families as well. I saw traces of Ida Morgenstern, Sophia Petrillo, Estelle Costanza, and Marie Barone in Rita's character, not to mention some aspects of my own maternal nonna.
