Finally, we didn't have any of the topless politician this week. The ISIS modeling agent bits were repetitive, but if you have a clever bit you might as well run it into the ground.
I wish we got more of "National Treasure" Dame Judi Dench or Maggie Smith this week.
This episode wasn't perfect, but I am glad Tracey decided to make a comeback and I'm hoping we get another year in 2017. She just needs to weed out the bad sketches.
We'll also have to wait and see if HBO also wants her to do something for them as well. A lot of people have been waiting for a return of her "Tracey Takes On" characters. HBO will be screening this show sometime this year. Back in the 90s, they bought "Tracey Ullman - A Class Act," which was produced for ITV in Britain and it spun off the HBO special "Tracey Ullman Takes On New York." A crossover may happen again, especially as she has a long successful relationship with HBO.
Tracey seems to love the BBC. She took a chance. British television hadn't had a sketch show in ages. It was great to have her back on the screen and reintroduced to the public. Hopefully she'll do more British television, even if it's not sketch related. What's nice about British tv are the short series, or seasons if your American. They're only six episodes long. This affords actors to do other things.
