Here's an interesting thought...

Making a movie about this is pretty cool but I have to wonder if it may also be a marketing strategy to bring back the game show. Basically if the movie does well enough between the number of viewers during it's first airing, the more people who watch it the higher the ratings will be, and how much it makes in home video sales, which will most likely be just DVD and digital though a Blu-ray release is also possible, than the higher the chances are that we may get a new Legends game show. It makes sense, right? What do you guys think? Could this be a sign of Nick's greatest game show returning to us?

Or perhaps even cooler: the original show on full DVD sets! Currently only two episodes on one DVD as a package of Nick's other game shows, called Nick Games and Sports All-stars. Only two but it's better than nothing. I've waited far too long for the show to come on DVD. 2 decades of waiting is too much. The same with the famous Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego as well. Even a little Best of package wouldn't hurt either.

Can't wait. Once the game show comes out on DVD all the former contestants can sue. Unless Nickelodeon tracks them all down after all this time and signs them to contracts and pays them. Originally they only signed a waiver allowing use of their "likeness" for promotional purposes (that way clips of episodes could be used in commercials for the show) not for actual full distribution.

Well, I don't know about that. I seriously don't know how the DVD Nick Games and Sports All-Star Collection got away with showing the 8 episodes. Perhaps Nickelodeon (and perhaps Amazon.com) signed a contract with some folks (particularly these two: AJ McClean (in the Guts episode featured with him) and Joey Fatone (Nick Arcade)) to have their likeness included. Hey perhaps there's still hope once this movie comes out on DVD. Maybe they'll include some episodes as special features, that would be extra wonderful.
