How many of you watched the original show in 1993-96?

I was 4 when it premiered in September 93. It was one of my favorite shows to watch before dinner time back then. Just hearing Olmec's voice telling the stories brings me back, haha. I never really rooted for one particular color. I thought it was cool how they actually had the path on the map the contestant was running, being drawn out in real time next to the clock.

My aunt worked at Nickelodeon studios (she still works at Universal) and mainly took people on studio tours but she got to see the sets and everything. I have a picture of her standing next to Olmec on the Legends set--and standing on the Weinerville set lol. When I went in 1997 I went on the tour and saw the Gullah Gullah Island set. They were taping the Christmas episode. It was October so naturally they'd tape it then. It was also a Sunday so nobody was there but it was decorated for Christmas. My mom tried taping it when we thought it was airing but a different one ran. We didn't get to go on the actual set but we saw it from behind glass looking down from a catwalk area. I can't remember any other sets we saw. Maybe Kenan and Kel as they were still taping in Orlando at the time. But I never really watched it when it was on.

I rediscovered Legends when it ran on Nick GAS back in winter 2005. It's hard to believe the young actors in this movie likely weren't even born yet at that point. It doesn't say how old they are but my guess is the oldest boy was born in 2005 or 2006 and the youngest around 2008? Daughter was born in 2001.

I was one of you guys! I came onto the show in April 1994 so a little late, but no matter. It was my excitement release when I could no longer watch Power Rangers for 3 years, but this more than satisfied my taste of adventure since I'm an unabashed Indiana Jone fan as well. My favorite team was the Blue Barracudas, but I never really cared who made it to the temple. I loved the temple games since they were all varied challenges. Olmec was definetely cool with his booming voice. My first episode was The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor which is cool since it was my favorite team and they won!

Even though I was in high school at the time, I watched "Legends" all the time. I was into history and had been an Indiana Jones fan since childhood, so I loved it.

Watched the movie last night with my brother and we really enjoyed it, a lot more than we expected to considering we're not really Nick fans anymore.

Yup, I watched this show from the beginning. I love how the previous poster mentioned Power Rangers, as both shows premiered within weeks of each other.

I too just saw the TV movie and it was an enjoyable burst of nostalgia. I think it would be cool to have adult versions of 90s kids game shows like Legends, Double Dare, Guts, etc.

I was born in 1996, so I grew up watching it on GAC. Miss that channel, that and Toon Disney... Also, the fact that these actors are 2000's babies makes me feel old and I'm just turning 20 in a few weeks...

I'm 32 and Nick is like the only channel I used to watch back then so I saw it every time.

In a promo video Kirk Fogg says they were only allowed 8 champions a year so I guess they rigged the temple now and then. That's sad. I definitely remember the route to the given-object being really hard sometimes. They probably had the guards troll too.

Anyway I was wondering what other Nick game show could work as a story. Only one is Nick Arcade. There could be some big video game tournament and the players get sucked into Mikey's world through virtual reality or something. They could fight those big bosses Mongo, Scorcha and Merlock too.

Your right to an opinion does not equal an opinion that is right

I did and I was also a little boy at the time. I remember enough details to recognize the references in this movie, but I don't remember if I liked the show.

Hi! 31 year old here who watched the original run of the show as a kid. This is one of my favorite tv shows ever, and a constant source of nostalgia for me. I think they did really well by the Legends legacy.

I still wished we could have seen the room of harmonic convergence. lol always liked it for some reason. 😀
