the plot (spoilers)

Personally, I think it would be hard for Avery to forget that Brendan said those insulting things to her online . Never mind that he didn't know he was talking to her at the time. It showed how mean he could be. I think in real life they wouldn't have gotten together after that.

I disagree, she was wrong in getting between a couple, she doesn't know them she doesn't know there history ...he had every right to be angry plus he did her a favor professionally and he started seeing that he was wrong and was going to apologize in public.
Although I understand why she would get upset and I understand why he wouldn't after finding out she was the one 'cause he already has falling for her.
What I didn't like is him not going according to the plan instead we got a cliche running away and had the ex telling her the truth, it would have been a lot better if he came out and apologized.

I couldn't stand McKenna. She didn't have one scene that I thought she was even sort of friendly in. She should have stayed out of it. She started it off by writing in to an advice column for what I'm guessing was an extremely new relationship. She immediately followed the "advice" without even really talking to him about it. She pretty much told Brendan it was her way or no way at dinner. She insisted that he cave on his beliefs of the holiday for her own...she didn't care about how he felt about it. If he had to work or was on call, why does she need it to be celebrated on that certain day or not at all? She couldn't compromise and get together the day before or the day after? And why is it her place to tell Avery who Brendan really was? He was going to tell her himself at dinner that night.

As for Brendan, I actually kind of liked him. He seemed like a genuine person to me. The only reason he even started to respond to the column was because his girlfriend followed the advice from a stranger after a 5 sentence letter. He was completely blindsided. And as I mentioned before, he was going to tell Avery the truth, but again, his incredibly bitter and jealous ex-gf (who dumped him, remember) felt it was her responsibility.

Now Avery, I liked her as well, but I thought she over-reacted about the whole thing. As an advice columnist she has to realize that not everyone is going to agree with her advice, or does she think her word is gold? Was he the really only person who ever responded to her column not agreeing with her?
