So the outspoken feminist is a homophobe.

I am very glad they addressed this. It reminded me of Becky coming to terms with her own intolerance. I liked the way they handled the episode where both Rasha and Goldi had different issues with their Muslim identities.

At least Goldi didn't provide and pamphlets or whatever Becky did

That ish was *beep* up

reply

No, but she said that homosexuality is a sin. Just because her intolerance is not as active as Becky's doesn't excuse it.

reply

All she said was her beliefs say it is a sin. She was not in the wrong. I'm a gay man but I did not find her statement in the wrong. Glodi never made homophobic comments prior to her stating her beliefs because Winston stupidly made her. Just because she thinks homosexuality is a sin, she isn't forcing it on people nor does she treat homosexuals bad.

Feminism isn't in the same category as LGBT rights, fight is similar but represents something completely different. I personally don't think Goldi is a homophobe, most religions consider homosexuality a sin and it's not how they personally feel it's just their religions make up what is right and what is wrong. However most of these "rules" were created in a time where certain things weren't as open and public as it is today. Just to be clear I am not saying she has the right to think it's a sin but personally it isn't her fault to why she thinks it, when you have been raised a certain way you become ignorant without knowing it. I see lots of people say racism, prejudice and stereotypical things about certain races and they never realize their mentality is wrong or can be offensive to others. However LGBT rights, Black Lives Matter, Feminism, etc. may fight for similarities but they're all for different causes and not to mention there are people who support LGBT rights but are prejudice towards certain kinds of people. It's like people are hypocrites sometimes when we should understand that in the end we all want to be treated with respect and treated equally.

I don't think Goldie is homophobic at all. She never showed any intolerance, hatred, or unacceptable to lgbt people. All she ever said was according to her religion, being gay is a sin which is not false. Acknowledging that your religion thinks being gay is a sin doesn't make you homophobic
