#IREGRETNOTHING (03x08): I assumed that SHAY would...

... suspect TINY was the father of LOLA's baby. A couple of the previous episodes were about her jealousy, so it all seemed to be leading up to that. However, at the beginning of this episode, she's positive that TINY isn't him.

It was a bit....lazy.

I mean at the sleep over when Shay and Lola make up she confirms nothing happened with Tiny and basically states at the time of the drinking came she was a virgin.

Shay "But you drank, was it somebody else?"
Lola "No...I guess I thought that if you thought we did it I could feel like my relationship with Tiny meant something"

So between that and to the abortion is what 6 weeks? We're meant to believe Shay wouldn't be able to notice who Lola has been around recently that she wasn't around before?

Writers have no choice to skip story-lines due to the 10 episodes a season with having only 21 minutes of time. They have no choice to rush things when in reality they should do like Degrassi seasons 10-14 when they had 30-40 episodes a season but they just got lazy and rush everything where we barley get to see character development. It's like Lola getting an abortion wasn't something to worry about because she got it like the second episode she found out she was pregnant. I mean seriously they rush things and sometimes they just let things be resolved without any explanation. This show needs more episodes because these small amounts of episodes do not help at all.

I don't know. I do agree with the storylines being rushed. However, the writers have known since the beginning that the number of episodes they would get. They should've known better. I get that they use the "We'll make 2 seasons per year so they can feel like 1 season split in half and we can take our time" arguement, but it's no excuse.

Actually, originally it was supposed to be 30 episodes a season for "Next Class" then it got put to 20 episodes a season then they switched it to 10 episodes a season but they film 2 seasons back to back. Originally the show was going to have the same tone as the previous Degrassi series (much more mature and dark) however they ended up making it more "kid-friendly" as they don't "go there" as much on Next Class as previous Degrassi series. The writers should know better not to rush things but the story-lines have no effect since they rush things. Lola's pregnant then next episode she gets an abortion, there was no suspense or build up or sympathy since they rush everything for every plot.
