I just had to come on here and add that adide from the daughter whose screaming might be somewhat seen as believable the rest of the movie is no better than watching something that people filmed with such very little actual acting talent (because you can't watch this and say these people have anything close to anything called a talent in all honesty here) but it is more of a horror wanabe with soft core porn thrown into the mix and this makes things so very unappealing considering this storyline here!!! These people scream and you can't help but think seriously even I could do better and I'm not an actor/actress! If the scene/story isn't believable you can't allow yourself to get immersed into it enough to get interested or to enjoy it and for me alone this movie was so very much ruined right off the bat once I realized that they didn't even care about what we as viewers thought when we were watching it because they had someone screaming and it came across too cheesy and more like being at a silly over acted haunted house rather than watching a really great horror film! Overacting ruins any movie! They had to very well know this but it is so obvious that they didn't care at all! Trust me when I tell you that this movie is not worth spending money on unless you just don't care about quality and you have such very little expectations in what you are going to get here! But then this is so far from even anything close to what the Amityville stories were headed so I would have to say that this is a concept that more uses the idea and name more than the true background idea as the previous stories and movies did which made them somewhat better than this! I found this to be very much a letdown but I didn't go into it with very high expectations so I shouldn't have expected too much right?!?!?
