shareIt was definitely heartbreaking. It was made all the more tragic because they had finally "made it", as in having a good house, making enough money, being happy together. I wonder if Aarchi's mother knew this was going to happen, or if it was just planned by Prince and his companions? Or maybe Aarchi's father planned it, after losing the election he probably blamed her for his loss and hated her even more. Great film.
shareI would say the ending is contrived, she is smart and would never give her address, if she called them without telling the guy, the guy would scream as soon as he entered the house and run out - the neighbors would all support this couple who is living amongst them. The fact that they trusted these 4 butchers to sit in their living room is not realistic. Everything about the movie is good except the ending - which is purely to create a sensation.
shareRespectfully i disagree. She genuinely missed her family and probably forgot how ruthless they were. Its not far fetched that they would cajole their relative they want to kill into a false sense of security and commit the deed to get their honour restored. How many times ive heard of a daughter going back to her parents after multiple promises of forgiveness only to be killed / raped / immolated to restore honour. The movie is spot on.
