Anyone else reminded of TLH? I know the story wrapped around the idea is different but definitely a similarity.

shareYes, I watched this move two days ago and the same thought crossed my mind. Interestingly, I read a bit of trivia and the director mentioned being influenced by a couple of movies including Interstellar (2014) but there was no mention of Lake House.
shareI wonder where this meme of two people living slightly out of step time wise comes from. I can think of stories, like The Secret Garden and others, that amount to time travel but just a little out of step seems new and for me the first instance is The Lake House - there may well be others.
shareMore likely, the director, being Asian, was influenced by Il Mare, a Korean film that was remade into The Lake House. il Mare is very good, and free to view on IMdB with ads if you’re interested.
